Located in the historic Aumont Hotel, Los Sombreros is a unique family owned restaurant in Seguin. Serving Mex-Mex style dishes, instead of the typical Tex-Mex. The food served is traditional Mexican cuisine found far south of the border. Los Sombreros features handmade tortillas made fresh at the restaurant.
A few of the unique dishes you will find on the menu are: Tlalpeño, Taco de Pollo, Tostada de Pollo, Enchiladas Rojas, Enchiladas de Aguacante and Enchiladas Potosinas. On the weekends, you can experience even more specialty items such as Tacos de Trompo, Gringas and Campechanas, all made from Trompos, which is an inverted triangular marinated pork meat turned in front of a vertical flame with cooked slices shaved off as it gets done from the outside in.
